this fly was about 12-14mm,
found in Germany, Baden-Württemberg, Radolfzell, altitude 390m, 6. 6. 2022
Please help to ID this sweety.

Hello Theo,
the fly was found near a little creek, about 20m away,
and a area of reed with a little bit of water was only 5m away.

Well, it looks like H. solstitialis, except for the dark first antennal segment. 10 % of the males have this feature, so it is unusual but not a no-go. Habitat does support solstitialis.
So not sure, but best shot.
Otherwise it would be an unusually orange muehlfeldi.
