Hi All

I found this fly on some teasels ans thistles on the edge of a meadow, woods nearby.

The closest I can find is Helina impuncta - red legs, no markings on abdomen, red/orange palps.
Face and eyes are a good match too. But I understand there are others that are similar.

In reality, this fly looks quite olive in colour.

The locale is a little out of area too, that's my main concern.

Could some please ID?

Yours, Gareth
