Thread subject: Diptera.info :: unknown sphaeroceridae
#1
I saw this sphaeroceridae on 18th August 2022 in Den Helder, Netherlands attracted to light. Does someone know which species is this?
Thanks a lot.

From what I can see here I would suggest
Minilimosina female, possibly around '
fungicola'. Are the apical scutellars the same length as the scutellum?

I am not sure where I can find the apical scutellars. I have added one more picture. Hopefully the apical scutellars are on it and identification to species level will be possible.

The apical scutellars are at the top of the scutellum (middle part of hind border).

Something went wrong when adding an additional picture of which I thought should show the scutellum in more detail. But, through my micropscope I couldn't find any long hairs on the scutellum. I now have added a picture which appears to show the absence of hairs on the scutellum, but I can't guarantee they haven't been broken and disappeared.

From this I would just go for
Minilimosina .sp
