I think this is either Pollenia labialis or Pollenia amentaria. Can anyone tell me if it is one or the other ? I will iRecord if I can get a positive ID. Found in South Cumbria, 18/10/2022.
Update; 24/10/2022. Thanks to Eric I am now satisfied this is neither of the above, but in fact a (female) Pollenia rudis. ( Unless anyone can convince me otherwise ? ).

Hi Duncan, these two can be excluded:
P. labialis has a black basicosta
P. amentaria has a shiny black abdomen
P. rudis is a good candidate with pale basicosta, 2+ ad bristles on mid tibia, and only black hairs posteroventral on hind and mid femur. To be more sure we need a dorsal view.
