Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae: Bithia sp.

Hello,

I photographed this fly in Bazzano (AQ), Italy, on August 28th 2022. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?

Are you sure, Roger ?

Looks like a Bithia to me. Proboscis is quite long, but not geniculate, setulae on wing veins are lacking, etc.

I'm NEVER sure Theo. awkward But on this occasion I'm very sure that you are correct as usual. Smile
Now I'll get back to editing some photos of Orcas I took today. Those I am sure of Wink
