Dear Forum,
any thought how to name this insect?

Thanks a lot, Jürgen!
The Sciaridae I used to know before were significantly smaller and had a more bell-shaped m-vein, and wings uniformly black...
But fine... every day some new learning... :-)

I am not certain, but this venation looks more like Keroplatidae to me.

Greenomyia (
mongolica?)

Thanks all!
At least from pictures I found on the Web, Greenomyia mongolica fits perfectly well, including wing vein pattern, color of legs, tibial spurs...
Stating Greenomyia cf. mongolica should then be ok, right?

Markus

Yup. A publication with a key should be available online...

Sorry for the misleading...
