Is this a Syrphidae and can this small fly be determined from the photos?
Location: Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia, Garden in Krefeld-Uerdingen, size approx. 6 mm
Date: 12.08.2022
Many thanks and many greetings

Since the veins near the wing tip meet in a 90 degree angle, I would say Pipizella, most likely P. viduata.

The stigma seems to be tapering towards the wing tip. That points towards E. abusiva and E. arbustorum. The first has very short-haired arista, and the second one plumose arista. I'd say E. arbustorum.
