hi flyforum,
I got this fly out of my archive from august 2007.
It was found on a tree in the Amsterdam forest, a place near a canal.
It is quite a 'hairy' Muscidae, isn't it? Phaonia perhabs?
light yellowish beard, browny cheek, light-yellow spiracle, plumo arista, the end of the scutellum is light(oranje-braun)
Suggestion's are welcome

Robert,
I good by wrong, but I believe that the
Muscina sp. have all a little bit yellow at the end of the scutellum.....

Thank you Joke en Susan for your reaction.
So I have to search it in Phaonia sp..?
I'll look further if I can find any characteristics
