Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinid. Cyzenis albicans maybe?

Was in the greenhouse. I took it outside with Lapsana communis, the common nipplewort and some honey. Photo 2023-06-15. Bergen, Netherlands.

Very common and highly characteristic, so get to kniw it well !

Thanks Theo. I didn't know. Image recognition on Observation resulted in an uncertain Cyzenis albicans :-)

Triarthria setipennis differs from all the common Exoristinae (and maybe the rare ones too) in the comparatively slight bend in vein M near the wing tip.

Thanks John. Good to know. I have already photographed this species, but that was a long time ago (2014, 2013)
