Hi,
A year ago in Baden-Württemberg I met a small Sphaerocerid,
Pseudocollinella cf.
humida, among a number of Ephydridae that gathered around a muddy rut (see
https://diptera.i..._id=106982).
In the first days of October this year I encountered this fly combination again, this time in southern Brandenburg. The photos got a little better so that the crucial bristles on
Pseudocollinella's middle tibia are visible. It is in fact
P. humida and not
P. jorlii, the latter species has not yet been recorded in Brandenburg. So we can close the case
.
