Hello everyone,
I found the fly on February 16, 2024 on a dry meadow in northeastern Bavaria/ Germany. Size about 5mm.
Is Anthomyiidae sp. correct?
Best regards, Thomas

Another pic...

The head reminds me of some
Phorbia species, but I am not certain.

An acalyptrate. Notice the wing is darkened between Sc and R1, no distinct rows of acrostichal or dorsocentral bristles, incomplete transverse suture, fronto-orbital bristles not of the calyptrate form, no strong bristles on tibiae.

Compare
Earomyia lonchaeoides, an early spring species.

Thank you, Tony Irwin and John Carr! Earomyia lonchaeoides looks good and the season is right too. Best regards, Thomas
