I found this at Mindelo's ornithological reserve (near Oporto). I think it's Scaeva pyrastri but if you can confirm it and why, I would be grateful.

The simple answer is: S. pyrasti because the spots are oblique und more or less white.
Maybe the experts will tell you more.
