Anyone did manage see this fly??
I know it is xylophagid... and the larvae feeds on rotten wood. But never saw this beauty besides some sketches I saw.

Maybe this fly prefers wet and shadowy environments?

finally I managed to see the first photo of a Rachicerid fly. It has extraordionary antennas. (though this is not a palearctic species.)

Try again Jorge! This photo is a Keroplatus (Keroplatidae) or related genus.

Well, finally I saw the first online photo of Rachicerus sp. But they put in Xylophagidae.... Check it out here:
