Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Spiny Diptera larva? (10 mm) --> Stratiomyiidae
#1
Hello!
I found this larva yesterday on a piece of bark on a meadow near a forest (northwest Germany). I'm not sure, whether it is dipteran. Length about 10 mm (compare to the
Tomocerus springtail (3 mm) on the second picture). It reminds me of something I've already seen, but I do not remember.

Many thanks! That was my first thought, too, after being told that this could be a Diptera larva. But I could not find a similar one in the gallery.
