Can anybody help me with this beetle?
the species was find under the bark, on 24 March 2008, on the South West of the Romania,

It look like a Carabidae (ground beetle) to me. Maybee a Carabus sp.

looks to only have 9 segments to the antenae, tenebrionidae tend to have 11,

It looks like a
Helops (tenebrionidae). I see a lot of
H. caeruleus here and it looks very similar.

ok... for me, it seems to be H. coeruleus, but I don't know almost nothing by this insects

so...should it be identified like Helops coeruleus?

There is another
Helops -
rossii - in Romania, but I don't know what the distinguishing features are. For the moment I'd stick with
Helops species, but one of our more expert coleopterists may be able to help further.
