Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphus? --> S. torvus

Hello!

The third male syrphid from the sloe hedge yesterday (northwest Germany). This one was 9-10 mm. Possibly Syrphus torvus?

Indeed S. torvus.
(see the hair on the eyes)

Many thanks! I never had a definite ID, yet, for this species, because my photos weren't good enough Wink.
