Hello Forum,
that fly I saw yesterday, May 2nd 2008, in Hagen (Northrhine Westfalia, Germany); 175 m above NN, on Cardamine amara growing in an artificial alder marshland. I think, it must be a species of the syrphidae family.
Is a closer ID possible? Please help!
Best regards, Josef

Hello dipdip,
thank you for the quick answering.
My hope with the attached photo, that shows most probably a couple in copula of the same species is, that the fly can get an even closer ID. Is it possible? Which mark is necessary for a final species ID in this case?
Picture data are the same as above.
Best regards, Josef
