Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Scaptomyza pallida?
#1
Sochi region, Black Sea, early spring (03mar), city park, in grass, 2-2,5mm, common.

I hope same species (not same fly!) collected same day, same place.
Only 2 row ac, grey thorax with brown line.
In my key abdomen black, but some time partly or completely yellow. As far as I understand, partly yellow abdomen is just the case with live photo?

One more question, please.
Kindly ID by Kahis as Scaptomyza, fly from Sinai:

This fly has 2row ac too. According my key S. pallida is very common and cosmopolitan (incl. Africa). Is it correct to propose that it is S. pallida too?

Both depicted specimens are
Scaptomyza pallida, the top one a male, the bottom one a female. The one identified by Kahis probably is the same species, too.

Also thank you for information about Sphaeroceridae key.
