Looks like an Asilid but I might be wrong. About 12mm ong, taken in Porto Covo, west coast of Portugal, in a sandy area.

Although it is usually impossible to determine small species of the Machimus group, this seems to be a female of Machimus cf. lacinulatus, which is common and widely distributed. Yours
