I saw this specimen in the French Alps in July.
Its size was about 12 mm.
What can you tell me about it ?

I don't know the French fauna so I can't tell you the species name. It is a robberfly, family Asilidae. They are predators on other insects.

I knew it was an Asilidae.
I just hope someone will be able to tell me more (Genus)
