Hallo
a fly of some mm sitting on a leaf of clover in the region of the Sea of Thun CH, 560mNN, 27.04.2006.
Could it belong to the family of Tephritidae?
Greetings Maja

Hi Maja,
Yes, you are totally right. It does belong to the Tephritidae. If none of the others will give you the species name before the weekend, I will do my best in the weekend to identify it (but I doubt that you will have to wait that long!).

Yes, Maja, it is Tephritidae. Vein Sc fusing C under angle 90 is good character for Tephritidae ID.
Which Thephritidae - I don't know, wait for expert.

Hi Maja,
I would say it is a
Tephritis spec. I leave it to the experts to say more about it!

Hi all,
I agree with

But to say more will be difficult.
