This is an excellent find for a Northern European country. If you could spare a couple of pairs for my studies I would be most grateful.
I am almost certain that you have found
Apolysis szappanosi Papp, 2005 (Fourteen species of Diptera new to Hungary,
Folia Ent. Hung..
66 261-276). As far as i know still only known from Hungary.
In his paper Papp also mentions a second
Apolysis sp. nov from Greece which is very similar. I have specimens of this Greek species so it would be very useful to compare with your specimens.
could you put a photo of a male up?

I have now dissected both male and female of Lukasz's specimens and am quite sure that they are
A. szappanosi Papp. I am also confident that they are different from the species found in the Mediterranean. (
graeca of Papp).
