Hello!

The first one last week was - of course - the good old Eristalis tenax. Normally Episyrphus balteatus is similarly early here (have seen it already in February in other years) in northwest Germany, but this one today sunbathing at 10 °C on a stone near forest was not Episyrphus. I guess, it is a male Melangyna, maybe M. lasiopthalma? Length about 7-8 mm.

Yes I'd agree, probably M lasiopthalma.
