I think, it must be a Syrphidae. And further? Hagen, NRW, April 14th 2009, alder marshland, 175msm

A female Cheilosia, possibly a Cheilosia himantopus.
The other option would be something like Cheilosia chloris.
Could you give more detail, like size?
If it is big (10-12 mm or bigger) it would likely it is indeed himantopus.

yes, it was bigger than 1cm, clearly. 12mm seems okay to me! Best regards, Josef
