Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Piophilidae

Today during lunch break I revisited cat's corpse in park.
I found only Piophilidae on it, but it seems to me that fauna changed.
3-4 mm. Looks like Prochyliza nigrimana. Is it?
#2
I would not know for certain, but the name
Stearibia come to mind. Looks like a typical Ozerovian challenge to me.
#3
Right tomorrow Ozerov will be back Moscow.
Nikita
P.S. Among "Ozerov's" families like Scathophagidae, Sepsidae, Piophilidae, absolutely atypicaly looks Pallopteridae

#4
You are right, Paul. It is
Stearibia nigriceps (Meigen)

#5
LoL, that gives courage. It has been a while since I had a better look at the piophilidae, but this one stuck.

Thank you Paul and Andrey.
