Hi!
First time for me here.
A friend of mine has found yesterday this Diptera. Could you help me to find what it is ?
It has been found near a small river, on grass. Alt. : 600m, France - Lozčre (48)

Firstly, welcome to the group! Smile

Your fly is from the family Empididae - Paul will say more, I am sure.

Also, you will get better results if you say more than "ID" in the title Wink Even just "brown fly with long nose" will attract people who are interested in long-nosed flies Grin

Thank's a lot ChrisR.
I will be careful next time with the title !
Is it possible to change it when the message has been sent ?
Best regards.

Yes, you can change your own posts after submitting them - just use the "Edit" button Smile

Posters tend to change/update their thread titles as and when they get an identification. The more accurate the title is, the better it will attract the expert in that group Wink
