Actually we do! it's a bad photo, but will do.
just to make sure, i also have those two common syrphidae in my garden
Eupeodes-corollae
Paragus quadrifasciatus
could it be one of those?

The pupae of Eupeodes and Paragus or any other genus doesn't look like this typical Episyrphus shape i.e. thick in front and abruptly becoming smaller towards the end, with a long "tail". Other genera have more or less the same thickness or become gradually smaller with only a short "tail".
