Cheers Andre Frown I thought it was something else, but nice of you to extricate yourself from the bar for long enough to determine the ID of this hoverfly.
You say it is a male....I think it is an ex-male going by the tear where its genitalia are/were.
The hoverfly equivalent of severe Brewers Droop, of which I am sure you are aware Pfft.
