I found it under a fallen Oak leaf next to Ivy where I have seen
Syrphus ribesii. I think this is a good candidate for that?

as a matter of fact, the first thing that came into my mind was S. ribesii, but later on I read that you have three species in the UK, so I wasn't sure anymore.
