Thanks...I thought it was. This is another migrant to Shetland. It is the only one of its kind I saw all last year. The previous year there were loads of them. They were first recorded in Shetland in 1993. Well at least one of them made the journey Smile

It's not only my Syrphid ID's that are like shawkwardt . Geraldine GrinGrinPfft I'm pretty much crap with other flies too. Having said that, I notice that you have avoided the Syrphus female I posted, too difficult for you, or are you losing your touch Pfft.
BTW How did you get on with the babysitter...was HE nice Pfft Was he good with FLIES ?
