In the vincinity of the first animal I did find a male Dioctria atricapilla. could this be a female ( if identifiable at allby means of images ) ?
The other Dioctria animal was found at another place ( D. oelandica ? ),
Here 's a 3rd specimen I discovered in the area (other period though )
and I will keep my eyes open for more ... I quite like the posure of these flies in nature and would like to get a better knowledge to identifiy them better in the field ...

1st and 2nd: Dioctria atricapilla female
3rd: probably Dioctria rufipes
4th: Dioctria cothurnata male

henk, can you read Dutch (Flemmish
)? There is quite a good book "De Roofvliegen van Nederland" with keys etc, maybe still available at Vermandel entomolgie speciaalzaak see link http://www.vermandel.com/index.php?cat=1&sub=&item=7.265 (is this allowed?) A good clue for rufipennis is in Dutch the "antenneknobbel" (maybe some one can give me the English term for it) it should be higher than the second antenna segment is long.
By the way i'm pretty obsessed by these creatures...
