hi flyforum,

This afternoon I got this little Rhino sp. (?).
I was thinking of Rhinophoridae..


place: Amsterdam forest, vegetation near water
size: 5-6mm
date: 4-07-2010

Looks like Rhinophora lepida - the standard really tiny rhino that sits on foliage in gardens etc Smile

Yes it is. Females lack the greyish dustspots on tergites.

Get to know this species from all angles, since it will be very common till end of August !
