Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyidae fly

Taken today, 27th August 2006, in Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL

I'm quite sure this is an Anthomyidae fly. Smile Anthomyia sp. ? perhaps? What do you think?

Absolutely correct! Smile Those five black marks on the scutum and two on the scutellum are distinctive. In the related Eustalomyia, the central mark extends forward in front of the suture.
