Thread subject: Diptera.info :: What flies are these?

Hello,

I have got two pictures of different flies, what I cannot identify.

Can somebody help me?

These pictures were taken in Bavaria, Germany:

I think both are Anthomyiidae but as this family is sometimes difficult to separate from the Muscidae I do not mind to be corrected by someone more knowledgable. Wink

Could the upper one be Delia floralis? It was 15 centimeters (5.9 inches) long (visual judgment)!

The other foto, could it be Delia radicum?

I guess you mean 15 mm and 5/9 inches? Wink

And maybe they are, maybe not. I would not dare to say.
