Hello!
Normally I'd say this is
Musca autumnalis
, but the fly was rather tiny for this species (5-6 mm I think). Photos taken on August-31 here in Ostwestfalen/Germany.

Well, I would agree with M. autumnalis.
But maybe some Muscid-expert knows of more species ?

Many thanks! There were more of them, mostly smaller than the ones I remember from last year. Maybe because of the cold August (?).
