In France I collected several M. platycephala's. It is very common there as well!
I have some specimen with on one side a normal sternopleuron, that is with 1 bristle, but on the other side with a second bristle, though much, much smaller than the big one. I think it is about 1/3 of the size of the bigger bristle.
Since 1 bristle on the sternopleuron is such an important characteristic of this species, I wondered whether more "peculiar"specimens have been collected?
