Hello,
is it possible to identify this diptera? Dimension about 13 mm. Found on 24.09.2010 - Mentana - Roma - Italy - Edge of the forest

It is
Syrphus sp.
. I don't believe that a closer ID will be possible from this photo, but I am no expert.
