Could also be E. abusiva. I cannot determine the length of the hairs on the arista. if you have a phot with a more lateral or frontal view?

Thanks Jan, but as per Checklist of the Italian fauna, Eristalis abusiva is not present in my country. Unfortunately I have only this photo.

When E. abusiva is not present, it is much simpler, unless there are other Italian species which i don't know of and are look-a-likes of E.arbustorum.
