Can anyone put a genus or species on this crane fly? Photographed near Chicago IL USA today (5-27-05). About 30-40 mm legs included.

I would put my money on a species of
Nephrotoma
but it is difficult to be certain, especially as the wings are folded and the venation is not visible to check.

Thanks, Paul. I found a bunch of images online, and I agree, although I cannot pin a species on it.
