Another crane fly photographed today, 5-28-05 near Chicago. Really striking wing markings - these critters are suddenly all over the place. Relatively small for crane flies - about 15-20 mm.

As Paul already noted, it's quite similar, but different Smile It's genus Epiphragma, but I can't tell the species...
