Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Help with Platycheirus ID
#1
I found this little fellow near Bewdley, in the Midlands in a field by woods. I think it is a
Platycheirus species, but I am not good enough to get to the correct species or the most probable one. I would grately appreciate any help to ID it. Thanks in advance!!
EDIT: Sorry, it seems I cannot upload the attachment. Have to try to sort that out.

Piluca,
I think you have the same problem as I did when I started here: spaces in the file name are not allowed.

I would think it's likely to be
Platycheirus albimanus, best wait for Andre or Gerard to say for sure.
The bristles on the front femur, along with the shape of the tarsal segments that I can see fit, the yellow is probably pollen anyway but albimanus does have yellowish front tarsi.
