Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Larvae identification HELP!!

Please help!
I am currently identifying the stomach contents of three-spined stickleback from Haida Gwaii, BC. The contents that are in the stomach are only the head capsules and would like some help identifying.
If you can provide any help I would greatly appreciate it!

Do you know which subfamily? Aphroteniinae, Buchonomyiinae, Chilenomyinae, Chironominae, Diamesinae, Orthocladiinae, Podonominae, Prodiamesinae, Tanypodinae, Telmatogetoninae, Usambaromyiinae?

I agree with Tony, in being it a Chironomidae, but I need a more detailed photo of the headcapsule in ventral view. Is this possible? Although I'm only familiar with the Palaearctic fauna (some of the subfamilies I have never encountered), maybe I can exlude a couple. It is definitely not Tanypodinae and if there are ventromental plates (a pair of striated plates on both sides of the mental teeth) than I can at least exclude Orthocladiinae. Could you also give some more details of the habitat (fresh, brackish, marine, flowing, standing, isolated)?
