Hello once more,

Looking in Paul's book and on the internet, I think it must be Calliphoridae. But I'm not at all sure.

I agree with Theo. Wink
The characters to note are darkened squamae (calypters), orange basicosta (shows up here as a small orange plate on the costa at the base of the wing) and the orange anterior spiracle. In Europe, this combination in a bluebottle can only mean Calliphora vicina, the commonest species.

Tony is absolutely correctPfft but we should add-Except possibly Balkans to "In Europe, this combination in a bluebottle can only mean Calliphora vicina " or so I gather.Robert Perhaps Boze Kokan could comment.
