Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Small fly with red stripes on eyes

Today I photographed this small fly at Leerdam, Netherlands. Unfortunately it allowed me only this one picture. When I looked at the picture I noticed that the fly had reddish stripes on its eyes, a charactar I do not see every day. So perhaps it is possible to say to which family it belongs?
