Hello,
This keys out as Cheilosia pagana, can anyone confirm it? I think it shows most details and would be a nice addition to the gallery.
14th July, my garden near Lincoln UK.

Thanks Andre, you are correct of course!
I'm afraid I was being really sloppy!
I had another male earlier the same day which doesn't have hairs on the eyes, it's not that often I see more than one in a day! The other I think is Cheilosia pagana, but I had better post that too to be certain.
This one was resting late in the day, most shots we in dullness but I angled this one against the sky. If I had checked them properly I would have seen the hairs from a different angle, I should also have posted another angle but being human and doing all these things often late in the day sometimes leads to sloppiness. I rarely do sloppy more than once, lesson learnt!
Nice shot of a male for the gallery anyway!
