Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Unknown larva

Well, I presume its a larval stage, but of what? Its smaller than a ladybird larvae and has those long spiny horns. I know its not a great photo but I was poking about in the near dark!

Yea for some reason I never thought of springtails (Collembola) Looked too big to what Im used to

And this one is still juvenile (older specimens are lighter and more yellowish)! Smile O. villosa is one of our larger springtails, grows up to 6 mm.
