* date - 27.10.2006
* size - 6 mm
* habitat - open land
* substrate - above leaf of ??

Bibionidae fly??? If not, why?

Wing venation is wrong. Also antennae are too long and thin. This is Sciaridae.

to tell the truth I don?t know wing venation well from the Bibionidae but the general shape looks to me at first time a Bibionidae.
Is it possible to reach genus level? I just took onE photo. Sad

To spiders, i get the most families very quick. This is not happens to dipters. Sad Is it just me?

From now, I will collect all specimens I photograph. "Hourray!" say all dipterologists. Smile

You can always see if there are photos on the Gallery to compare with. There are almost 900 photos there now!
