Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscid #1

Hello!

Now for some of the not so tiny flies. This 12-14 mm one sat on the wall of our house yesterday (Ostwestfalen/Germany). I would say it is a Muscid, but have no idea what genus (doesn't seem to be Polietes). Thanks for any hints!

Not yet. That genus did not come into my mind, never had seen it before here.

Thanks again! Meanwhile I had a look at the gallery, and found it really very similar (although mine is a female).
