Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tiny fly with speckled wings
#1
Today I found this tiny little fly (2 mm?) with speckled wings on one of our outside walls at Leerdam, Netherlands. Could anyone tell me what it is?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Jan,
I'm not much of an expert on these flies, but I would go for Ephydridae.

Maybe this is the same fly? Found today at a tree trunk with resin/juice (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Length about 2-3 mm.
