I'm sorry but I do not even know the family. Any idea for an ID? Found on Koh Samui, Thailand.

A very nice Syrphidae, and it's a Ceriana sp.

Beautiful cerioidine! This appears to be Monoceromyia javana...see comments thread beneath this iNaturalist post for many more details (e.g. links to keys, descriptions, and more).
